May 30, 2017

The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce has named medical device company Sensus Healthcare the most “disruptive” technology startup for 2017.

Boca Raton-based Sensus Healthcare specializes in non-invasive tools aimed at treating skin conditions, such as non-melanoma skin cancers. Its best-known device is the SRT-100 Vision, a device sold to dermatologists nationwide.

The Technology Leader of the Year Awards is an annual program that recognizes individuals and organizations in the South Florida tech community whose efforts are improving overall business performance for the region’s innovation landscape.

“We are proud to be the recipient of this prestigious award for Disruptive Technology,” said Sensus Healthcare CEO Joe Sardano.

Founded in 2010, Sensus went public in the summer of 2016, with shares trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker SRTS. The company has a market capitalization of about $59 million. Last year, the company booked revenue of more than $14 million, a 44 percent uptick compared to revenue generated in 2015.
